Kerry and the team at Southampton had Noor visit the laboratory and join Harvey's gang.
Noor herself is well, but her 1 year old brother is currently in and out of hospital for dialysis as a result of renal failure, he is on the transplant list.
Noor wanted to visit the lab to find out why we take so many samples from her Brother.
She said she “had the best time and loved chromatography with "colours”. She went back to her brother (who has been admitted overnight) with a smile on her face and a LabCold penguin.
Harvey’s Gang initiative makes a really big difference to these kids.
Here is the lovely letter that Kerry received afterwards ❤ thank you,
Thank you to you and everyone involved in Harvey's gang for giving us this wonderful opportunity to come and see what goes on in the lab, especially as it's always so busy.
The work you all do is remarkable and it was lovely to see the journey Sulaiman's blood takes twice a week! He couldn't be in better hands.
The photos look wonderful and Noor has enjoyed seeing them very much. She has been telling her dad and younger brother all she did and how beautiful the nail polishes were.. 🙈
We enjoyed the whole tour, particularly the experiment with colours and looking down the microscope. As well as Pickachu looking down at the command centre making sure everything was ok! The teenage mutant machines were also very cool.
I will definitely be following up what we saw and learnt today in our homeschooling sessions for science. Thank you once again to you all for such a wonderful tour.
